What are the reasons for heart attack at a young age?

In the past, heart attack was not so common.  It was mainly affected the people of old age.  In very rare cases it affects the age group of the 40s.

These are many reasons which have  increased the problem and risk of a heart attack in a young person as under

  • Genetic reasons.
  • Eating fewer fruits and vegetables.
  • Smoking.
  • No exercise or workout, no morning walk.
  • Intake of high protein diet.
  • Drinking less water.
  • High blood pressure or diabetes.

1.Genetic reasons or family history of heart attack

Heart disease can be inherited from one generation to another generation of the same family due to genes. For example, high blood pressure and coronary artery disease are mostly inherited conditions but may be due to a combination of genetic changes that each have a subtle impact but work together to produce disease.  However, the genetic test is not available in these situations.

Some researcher says that it is due to change in a few genetic.  If there is a history of a heart attack in the family, the present members of a family are at risk of a heart attack.   In such cases, it is necessary to get your blood test annually especially to check the cholesterol level and other related tests as per the advice of a cardiologist.

2.Intake of few or fewer fruits and vegetables

Sufficient or adequate intake of fruits and vegetables plays an important role in the good health of the heart. Fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamins and minerals, intake of the low amount of fruits and green leafy vegetables in the diet leads to deficiency of essential vitamins and minerals which causes death due to heart attack or strokes.

Fruits and vegetables provide many vitamins and minerals which are good for heart health such as, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and vitamin E, magnesium, zinc, phosphorous and folic acid.  Folic acid may reduce blood levels of homocysteine,  a substance that is responsible for coronary heart disease.

3.No exercise or doing a more intense workout

Regular exercise, workouts or physical activities, and morning walks are necessary for good health and strength. Patients with high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol are at the greater risk of cardiac disease.  People who are under stress and have no routine are also at a high risk of cardiac diseases. So these people are required to do regular exercise and go on morning walk daily.

Furthermore, high-intensity exercise can also increase the risk of cardiac arrest or cardiac death in people with underlying cardiac disease. An intense workout also increases the risk of heart rhythm disorders especially for the person who is suffering from coronary heart disease.

So it is necessary to do regular exercise and morning walks and avoid intense workouts and take proper rest and remain stress-free.

5.Intake of High protein diet

It may seem good to intake a high protein diet but many studies reveal that intake of too much protein also leads to the risk of cardiac disease, especially protein known as ‘galectin-3’ leads to harm our body in long term causing heart failure. Those people who are taking this high protein diet are at more risk of cardiac disease in middle age.

6.Drinking less water
